About
I'm a front-end developer focused on accessibility, usability, and building things that last.
Very early in my career, a mentor gave me a copy of Heydon Pickering's Inclusive Design Patterns. It helped me think critically about accessibility and design decisions, and about why things are structured the way they are, not just whether they "work." That distinction has greatly shaped how I think about development, and continues to inform how I refine my work over time.
How I Work
I approach development with a focus on structure first. Clear, semantic HTML and well-defined content models make everything else easier, from styling to long-term maintenance.
Accessibility is built into that process from the beginning, with an emphasis on interfaces that are predictable, usable, and work across a wide range of devices and assistive technologies.
I spend a significant amount of time planning and defining structure up front before implementation. When working within existing systems, I focus on keeping things consistent and well-documented so they remain maintainable as they evolve.

Who I Am
I’m based in Denver, Colorado, where I’ve also been involved in local cultural and arts organizations focused on critical discourse and experimental media. I’ve served on the board of Denver Digerati and was Vice President of Tilt West, working with communities that explore how culture and information are structured, presented, and shared.
Outside of development, I’m also interested in music and DJing, particularly in how cataloging, history, and archival systems shape how people discover and engage with media.
